It had been a few days since Malinov had gone to the infirmary to visit Aegle and Lily. At last the bureaucratic nightmare left in the wake of their fight with Solomon Moon had settled and he could get back to his usual routine: filing paperwork for his boss and sneaking drinks from his flask, as well as punishing trouble-making students that were sent to his office for one reason or another. Unfortunately with all the work he'd had to do to clear up this mess, he'd neglected the paperwork related to the day to day functions of the school and he had piles of papers backed up on his desk. With the Vytal Festival coming up soon, he felt a sense of dread creep into his heart as he stared absently at the stacks of paper. "I need an assistant," he complained before taking a long drink from his flask and setting to work.
His office, though not as grand as the Head Master's, was quite spacious and nice, especially compared to his home which was spartan by comparison. In the center of the room sat a sturdy mahogany desk with a tall, black leather office chair upon which the large man sat, hunched over the paperwork he had to sort out and file. Behind him hung a landscape painting of the Anima countryside, the harsh land just outside Mistral where he'd grown up. This painting sat between two tall bookshelves, lined with rows upon rows of books, ranging from a variety of topics, but the most common topic among these books being related to studies on the creatures of Grimm, including a few books he'd written on the subject himself, though most were unpublished. Across the desk from him sat two black leather chairs for visitors to sit in. His office also contained a small counter with locked shelves, which according to rumor held his secret stash of alcoholic beverages but no one dared try to find out, save for the headmaster who already knew what he had hidden away.
