Technical Skills

Brute Strength: Malinov is incredibly strong due to a combination of natural talent and years of training. He has often been called a freak of nature for his unnatural strength, even being recorded cracking the armor of a Death Stalker with his bare fist once.
Poison Resistance: Malinov has a strong resistance to most common toxins thanks to years of building up his immunity through repeated exposure to sub-lethal levels of various poisons.
Grimm Specialist: Past misfortunes have led to Malinov obsessively studying Grimm in an effort to learn how best to kill them. He has become known as a scholarly expert on the Grimm commonly found near the area around Vale and the continent of Anima, and he shares his knowledge freely with those who would hunt Grimm.
Good Eyes: Malinov is quite observant and able to notice details, especially when his Semblance is activated.

Equipment

Romanova Cestus - A pair of cestus designed to have multiple functions. Plated with crimson armor over black leather, they cover the entire forearm and hands. The armored plating over the knuckles feature raised surfaces similar to a meat tenderizer, with an opening in the metal between the "spikes" in the middle in to dispense powdered Dust. The top has thicker armor able to slide out and expand into a small half-shield. When fully expanded, the two half-shields can be put together to form a medium shield. The underside is armored as well and features a built-in semi-automatic 9mm pistol, loaded with specially designed magazines. The wrist armor covers a revolving chamber that stores 12 vials of powdered Dust, which is dispensed using kinetic energy from punching while holding a thumb trigger on the grip. This grip also features a trigger for the pistol, as well as a trigger for the shield, which when double tapped retracts the shield. These triggers, when activated with no ammunition loaded and in a specific order, opens the retractable armor covering the revolver mechanism in order to reload it with fresh Dust vials.

As can be expected, the Romanova Cestus' main function is fist fighting utilizing powdered Dust dispensed via kinetic force, extending his reach to medium range using elemental AOE attacks. For defensive purposes, the shield feature can be used to parry an attack or, when put together, used as a medium shield to block a harder hit completely. For ranged attacks, the built-in 9mm pistols have a limited range but definitely much farther reach than the powdered Dust.

In addition to his weapons, Malinov wears a specialized combat outfit from Anima. It is comprised of loose black combat pants tightened at the shin by bandages; a black high-collared mantle split down the middle and tied with a black obi; his shoulder and torso are protected by crimson plate mail in the style of samurai from Anima with matching crimson faulds that bear his personal emblem in white paint.

Semblance

Malinov's Semblance allows him to see, or rather sense, everything around him within a radius of 15 meters, though he is not automatically aware of what he sees, just as with normal sight. He cannot see through soft material (wood, plastic, etc.) 6 inches or more thick or hard material (metal, stone, etc.) 3 inches or more thick, nor is he able to see in light that he could not see in with his naked eyes. To this end, though, bright light only blinds him if it is shined directly in his eyes. He is able to see around anything within his range. He is not able to see through solid ground but he can see through flooring if there is an open space below him, depending on the material of the floor. When his Semblance is activated, his eyes turn red and his aura flickers faintly for an instant. He is able to use his semblance for an hour at most without rest before it starts to strain his eyes. He cannot see even with his semblance whenever he closes his eyes.
